CULTURE 2000 & 2007

•Aim: to encourage creativity and mobility of artists, dissemination of art and culture, public access to culture, intercultural dialogue – to create a shared cultural area and bring people together while preserving their diversity.
•supports co-operation between private and public organizations of artists, cultural operators, promoters, cultural networks and other partners as well as the cultural institutions of Member States and of the other participant states.

Who is eligible to apply?
•Private or public organizations with a legal status – working mainly in the cultural area.
Private organizations need to produce an official proof of their legal status – e.g. officially registered articles of association or statute

•Entities can sub-contract/tender part of the project

The objectives of the Programme:
•Supporting the transnational mobility of people working in the cultural sector.
•Encouraging the transnational circulation of works of art and artistic and cultural products
•Promoting intercultural dialogue

ACTIONS SUPPORTED & CRITERIA

CULTURE 2000:Annual Projects – not more than 12 months
EC may grant up to 50% of total budget
Minimum contribution €50,000 Maximum contribution €150,000
Minimum 3 partners from 3 countries (including project leader)
Multi-annual projects – 2-3 years
EC may contribute up to 60% of total budget
EC grant up to €300,000 per annum
Minimum of 5 partners all from different countries (including Project Leader)

CULTURE 2007:Cooperation Measures - not more than 24 months
EC may grant up to 50% of total budget
Minimum contribution €50,000 per yr Maximum contribution €200,000 p.y.
Minimum 3 partners from 3 countries (including project leader)
Multi-annual cooperation projects – 3-5 years
EC will contribute up to 50% of the total budget
EC grant up to €500,000 per annum
Minimum of 6 partners from different countries (including Project Leader)
