4. Kaufmann European Music Competition:
This competition has been created to provide young amateur musicians with the opportunity to perform in public. It also gives them a highly motivating goal in their work and a chance to have the level of their Musical Art skills evaluated.

5. Lion's European Music Competition:
Lion's European Musical Competition was created in 1991. Since then the competition has flourished to the extent that in Rome in 2004 candidates from no less than 17 countries sought the title as Lion's European Young Musician.

6. Queen Elisabeth Intl Music Competition:
Founded in 1951 and named after a music-loving Belgian queen who initiated the event, the competition is one of the highlights of European music’s spring season. HM Queen Fabiola, patron of the competition, attends many of the events along with other members of the royal family. The contest rotates every year between violin, piano, composition and singing.

7. The Frederick Chopin International Piano Competition:
The Frederick Chopin International Piano Competition is one of the oldest events of its type in the world, and enjoys great prestige and universal renown. In the seventy years of its existence, the competition has evolved and transformed itself, altered and improved its form, and created its own extensive tradition. The initiator of the Frederick Chopin Piano Competition was Prof. Jerzy Zurawlew (1887-1980), an outstanding Polish pianist, teacher and composer.

8. Geneva International Music Competition:
Founded in 1939 under the name of the International Music Competition (CIEM), the Geneva Competition is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious music competitions.

9. International Youth-Chamber-Music-Competition (IYCC):
The promoters – the association pro-crescendo Aarau, Interlaken Tourism and the City of Interlaken – invite young chamber music ensembles from all over the world to take part in the competition and attractively-framed programme.
